We’re still flying high from our incredible Kansas City Fly Day on Saturday, September 6th! Thanks to 18 volunteer pilots and more than 100 dedicated volunteers, 101 kids and young adults with special needs experienced the joy of flight. It was a record-breaking day filled with smiles, courage, and unforgettable memories. (Be sure to check out the recap video below!)

Now, we turn our focus to the upcoming 2025 North Texas Giving Day campaign. The need is great. The time is now. North Texas, it’s time for action—your community needs you more than ever, and North Texas Giving Day is the easy way to make an impact. Every dollar given goes further because the Communities Foundation of Texas covers all transaction and technology fees.

Challenge Air Lands in Frederick, MD in 2026!

We’re thrilled to announce that Challenge Air will team up with AOPA and Signature Aviation for a Fly Day in Frederick, MD on April 11, 2026!

Our CEO, April Culver, and Program Director, Juliet Siddons, recently visited the site with Chair Kari Anderson and her husband, Brent. During the visit, they toured the AOPA facility and even connected with the local baseball team, the Frederick Keys. Fans will be excited to know that the Keys’ mascot, Keyote, will make a special appearance at our Fly Day!

This new location is especially meaningful for Kari, who first experienced the magic of Challenge Air 25 years ago while volunteering at a Dallas Fly Day as she trained to become a Southwest Airlines flight attendant. That unforgettable experience stayed with her, and she’s passionate about bringing it to her community.

We can’t wait to bring the joy of flight, smiles, and unforgettable memories to Frederick, MD in 2026. Stay tuned for more updates, volunteer opportunities, and ways you can help make this Fly Day extraordinary!
