A HEALTHY JOURNEY
  Starts With the First Step
In the case of some Advanced Ecology employees, one healthy journey continued for 13.1 miles last weekend. Director of Ecosystem Services Keith Webb (left) and Bird & Crawford Forestry Operations Manager Mark Bird (right) competed in the Nacogdoches Memorial Foundation East Texas Half Marathon on Saturday, November 11. Keith finished 49th overall, and Mark crossed the finish line 112th. A total of 194 runners started the half marathon.
Also competing and finishing 173rd overall was Emily Dahlgren (with Keith in photo), a summer of 2017 intern at   Bird and Crawford Forestry.

"The real prize is competing with yourself, the sense of accomplishment in finishing and in taking steps to stay in shape," said Keith.

Our congratulations to the Advanced Ecology and Bird & Crawford Forestry team members, as well as all the participants in the Nacogdoches Memorial Foundation East Texas Half Marathon - many steps toward a healthy journey.
