Good Morning!

Last month was Grand Valley Bike Month, and aptly, GJEP supported two major bike-related events: we welcomed Prostart to Grand Junction, a French BMX gate manufacturer, and we hosted a "sneak peek" ride of the Palisade Plunge, the first phase of which is set to open to the public any day now. Catch more on both events below.

As it is October, we are also sharing our third quarter reporting and a couple of upcoming events.

French BMX Business Opens Office in Grand Junction
Prostart, one of only three BMX gate manufacturers in the world, has chosen Grand Junction for its first U.S. office. The company is based in France and originally looked at Canada for its North American operations.

First Run on the Palisade Plunge
A few weeks ago, all of the project partners behind the Palisade Plunge gathered to celebrate the completion of phase I of the trail and take a "sneak peek" ride. Spoke + Blossom captured it on video.

Upcoming Events
LAST CHANCE TO APPLY: Entrepreneurial Policy Academy
November 12-13, 2020
9/10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Entrepreneurial Policy Academy seeks to educate and encourage rural entrepreneurs on how to engage in and advocate for stronger legislative policies. Over two days in November, eight rural entrepreneurs and leaders will attend a series of 30-minute classes covering topics related to technology policy and advocacy. The Academy will be followed by a live policy forum hosted by Telluride Foundation, where entrepreneurs will present their concepts and policy recommendations to state and federal legislative and agency representatives.

GJEP is pleased to sponsor the U.S Senate Candidate Forum hosted by the Denver Metro Chamber on October 15. The virual event will give candidates the opportunity to discuss key issues with the region’s business community, such as economic development, the impact of COVID-19, job creation, education and health care.
