I must admit that it was so wonderful to take a break from the shop for a few days and enjoy the Sequoia Giants!

Beverly and I stayed in a stunning Glass House on 2 private acres just outside the entrance to Sequoia National Park. We had some sunshine and some pounding rain and lots of R&R. I knit a bit, but decided to frog what I was working on. It was a colorwork piece and the colors I picked did not have enough contrast. So my greatest accomplishment from the trip was finishing both the Bridget Jones and Cobra Kai collections!

I just added classes to learn to crochet, to learn to knit, and to knit your 1st sweater. I plan to announce a much fuller class selection in the next week. Stay tuned!

Talara - 100% Baby Llama Softness

I'm so excited to have finally finished a project using Talara by Berroco. Talara is a delightfully lush and charming worsted weight yarn made of 100% baby llama. It’s incredibly soft to the touch and easy to work with and creates a fabric that has next-to-skin comfort. The chain construction ensures that knits hold their shape, while delivering a lovely hand & stitch definition.

It's a wonderful yarn for everything from hats & mittens to garments & wraps. I chose to knit the Novice Sweater from PetiteKnits and will be teaching a class on Knitting Your 1st Sweater in April where you can learn to make this too!

Next Sip & Stitch is March 5th

The next Sip & Stitch is next week on Wednesday March 5th from 4-6PM! This event is FREE and no sign-up is required.

The new fine teas from Course & Wale have been a big hit at recent Sip & Stitch events. The tea tins are a tasty and whimsical gift for that stitching/tea-drinking friend in your life and are now available for purchase in the shop and online! The tea re-stock is arriving on Thursday!

Central Coast Yarn Lovers Appreciation Weekend - March 8-9

Less than 2 weeks until the Central Coast Yarn Lovers Appreciation weekend! During this two-day extravaganza on March 8-9, participants will have the opportunity to visit a variety of local yarn shops, each offering its own distinct charm and selection of premium yarns.
