Hello Friends!
As recent cool mornings announce the arrival of autumn, we find ourselves holding on to the waning days of summer warmth. In this season change, we’re happy to share that our team is buzzing with productivity and action.
The job market remains a challenge for hiring despite the layoffs that make headlines. The market challenge is driven by on-going low unemployment, 3.8% nationally, and 2.6% in MA!, coupled with the recently announced drop in jobless claims (to an eight-month low). Despite the hiring challenges, we’ve helped many organizations find the right HR leaders while working with individuals to land their next great role. Check out a few recent placements and opportunities below.
We found a few minutes to catch up with Amanda Bailey, VP and CHRO at Boston University who spoke about the recent initiatives and successes she's found with an 11,000-person workforce as school returns to session. What a leader!
We also share some perspectives on the growing importance of project management skills and invite you to consider the HRLF Leadership Development Program this fall - it's a great program for rising HR leaders!
Happy reading,
Alice Benson

This past month, HR Lead and Senior Recruiter, Lucy Jreige (left) and Senior Talent Partner, Joelle Lurie from our team attended the From Day One Conference in Boston. They listened to panel discussions and leaders of forward-thinking organizations speak about workplace culture, new technical advances in our space, and how to lead people with purpose.
We're always educating ourselves on what's best and next in the world of HR, and conferences like this help keep our skills sharp and our team current.
