From the Corner Office

As I sit down to write in this year’s final newsletter, I must begin by expressing my gratitude for my Vector family. I was reminded this year that when I need them the most, they all step up; they confirmed my belief as to why we are all together. We all share the same core values that we adopted as a company this year. I couldn’t be more honored to call these fine people my family.

I am pleased to report that Vector achieved most of the goals that we established this past year. We are going into 2019 with all signs pointing to another record year. Our Vector teams are described below—they are all engaged and growing, so I have no doubt that the goals we set for the coming year will also be met.

In 2018, Vector hired an outside consulting firm to provide us with the tools and strategy necessary to help our leaders grow both themselves and the company. Through ongoing workshops, we are learning how to better align our business goals and to scale our company to higher levels while still maintaining the principles that we live by.

During this past year, our executive team met for countless hours to establish a new set of core values that we will all live by and use to help PILOT our day, throughout the organization. They are passion, innovation, learning, ownership, and trust. These values PILOT the Vector Talent teams to exceed our clients’ expectations and our company goals, and will propel us to new heights in 2019!
The Vector team brings a proven, state-of-the-art approach to staffing and outsourcing.

Most Valuable Performer
Each quarter, the TalentFLEX and TalentRELAY teams pick their Most Valuable Performer (MVP). The MVP is someone who has shown exemplary work for one of our clients and/or candidates and continues to be a shining example for those around them.

Vector's 3rd quarter MVP is our Talent Agent, Joyce Asiana .

Katie Jones is member of Vector's team of talent agents at our headquarters in Vienna, VA.

Katie is a Washington, DC, native. She resides in Fairfax, VA, where she grew up with her family. She is the middle of three children, with an older sister and a younger brother. Her favorite things to do include going to local fairs, boutique shopping, and discovering new things. She also enjoys going into DC to enjoy the many museums that the city has to offer. She especially enjoys ARTECHOUSE. The museum opened in 2017 and, for those who are curious, according to their website , " ARTECHOUSE is the first innovative art space dedicated to showcasing experiential and technology driven works by artists who are forerunners of the new age in the arts and technology. With a mission to inspire, educate, and empower the creation of new, experiential and exploratory art form, ARTECHOUSE connects audience to the arts, and stimulates interest in the limitless possibilities of technology, science and creativity." Katie swears it's a must-see for anyone coming to the DC area!

Katie earned a B.S. in business administration and human resources from High Point University in North Carolina. She enjoys helping people and is very social. So social in fact that she's earned the office nickname "butterfly" because she's always floating around the office helping out wherever she's needed.

If there is one thing you should know about Katie, it's her love of anything Disney. Her parents introduced her to Disney World at a young age and she's loved going ever since. On her to-do list every year now is squeezing in a mandatory vacation to Disney World. So, if you ever need a Disney tour guide—Katie's always more than happy to volunteer!
