Greetings Talie Jane Family,
We hope your holiday season was full of laughter, good food, and a little time to put your feet up. As we close out an energizing end to 2025, we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to in the Talie Jane world, and it’s been a busy one!
Ask Talie Jane is still making its monthly appearance in the Tahoe Daily Tribune and has officially expanded into the Sierra Sun, so keep those design questions coming!
On top of that, our weekly TV interviews, shown on the Tahoe Real Estate Show and Tahoe Tonight, along with our new commercials on Outside TV, have been equal parts fun and surreal (hello, “15 minutes of fame!”).
In this issue of Bespoke, we’re diving into the seven deadly design sins, breaking down color schematics, and boldly predicting design trends for 2026. You’ll also meet Mark Keys, a seriously talented carpenter who’s joined Talie Jane Construction. Be sure to check out his bio and get to know one of the newest members of our crew.
To everyone who joined us for our monthly workshops, thank you! We wrapped up our holiday series with festive tablescapes, wreath making, and handcrafted holiday cocktails (cheers to that).

| | | | Get to Know Us...Mark Keyes | |
A California native with sawdust in his veins, Mark has been building since his early 20s and earned his California contractor’s license in 1997. From ground-up construction to thoughtful remodels, he’s spent decades turning plans into well-built realities.
In 2002, Mark took his expertise to public service, becoming a building inspector and earning six ICC certifications in both residential and commercial inspection. He went on to serve as Supervising Inspector for Merced County for 16 years before shifting into private inspection with CSG Consultants, including work on projects for UC Berkeley.
In 2025, Mark made the move to Carson City to be closer to his son and daughter-in-law and joined Talie Jane Construction, bringing with him a deep well of experience, leadership, and a sharp eye for quality.
When he’s not on the job, Mark can be found exploring Nevada trails, riding motorcycles, and approaching life with the same curiosity, energy, and craftsmanship that have defined his career.
