Former Days Inn Building Comes Down Makes Way for New Business
Demolition of the former Days Inn Property began on Monday, April 18. Much of the building has since been taken down and clean-up will continue for the immediate future. Construction on a new hotel, restaurant, and coffee shop will begin sometime later this summer.
"The property had become somewhat of an eyesore," said Township Supervisor Ken Fletcher. "That is not what we want people to see when they enter or exit our Township. We are very excited for the new development and the rejuvenation of this long neglected property."

Ground Breaking for Michigan's First Standalone Chick-fil-A Restaurant
On Tuesday, April 19 Delta Township officials along with representatives from Chick-fil-A and local media gathered for the ground breaking for the first standalone Chick-fil-A restaurant in the state of Michigan.
The new addition to the Saginaw corridor will open later this year offering the residents of Delta Township and visitors to the area a variety of tasty chicken options along with the restaurants signature waffle fries.
The buzz around this new business is pretty substantial. A social media post made by the township about the old Fazoli's demolition and plans for the Chick-fil-A went viral and at last count had over 220,000 views and 2,500 shares.

Delta Township Adds New E-Commerce Zone
Delta Township has added a new E-Commerce Exchange Zone for in-person exchanges that are the result of online transactions or purchases.
The new exchange zone is located in the parking lot of the Eaton County Sheriff Department's substation, where there is 24-hour
surveillance under a well-lit area.
The Township is among several communities across the country to enact these designated exchange zones. After several national stories were aired involving incidences of theft and violence after online encounters resulted in person-to-person meetings. Delta Township however, is the first township in mid-Michigan to have a designated safe exchange zone available for residents and visitors alike.
