GVCO will take ownership of 7 acres of land at 51 N. Bacton Hill Road as of Feb 20th, 2019. Purchased from the GVSD for just under $1 million.
East Whiteland Township’s Board of Supervisors, by official township resolution has agreed to let us move forward with the project, allowing GVCO to begin finalizing the terms of the financing with a local financial institution.
Final septic modules have been sent to the Department of Environmental Protection for final approval following subdivision and recordation of the sale.
Upon receiving the financing for the project the construction phase of our 41,000 sq. ft. community center facility can begin (go to GVCOcampaign.org for more details).
To date, GVCO has raised just under $2 million in cash and pledges during our GVBC Capital Campaign . We will not get the necessary financing to complete the project without raising addition funds. Our immediate goal is to raise a total of $3 million (an additional $1 million) in the next several months of the campaign.
The goal is to have the doors open to the new GVCO Community Center in early 2020. Our lease at the current GVBL Center will not be renewed beyond October 2020 as the building is being renovated.
For more information regarding the new community center visit the campaign website at GVCOcampaign.org or call 610-990-6168 to learn more or to set up a visit.
