Visit any news site or turn on the TV and you'll probably hear something about the student loan debt crisis. In her latest blog post, SecureFutures CEO Brenda Campbell tackles this tricky subject and talks about how parents can start the necessary conversation with their teens about the impact of student borrowing.

At last month's "Your Two Cents with Inspiring Women," eight young women shared the impact of the Money Coach program in their lives, then had the opportunity for flash mentoring and networking with women business and community leaders. Thank you to Godfrey & Kahn for hosting this meaningful event, and to all the students and mentors who participated. You inspire us!

Thank you, corporate and foundation partners!

We are honored to count Guardian Credit Union and the US Bank Foundation among our corporate and foundation supporters. Thank you for investing back into the community by supporting teen financial literacy!

Our partners are already scheduling Money Sense and Money Path lessons for the fall semester! If you are already a volunteer, please keep an eye out for announcements about upcoming training events and volunteer opportunities. If you haven't signed up yet, there is no better time than the start of a new school year! Fill out a volunteer application here.

We invite you to consider participating in both Money Sense and Money Path this year. The time commitment for Money Path is just 90 minutes, delivered in one or two sessions, plus an hour long training. Many classes will receive both programs and being trained in both means that you will be able to spend more time with the students, build deeper relationships, and see the impact of the lessons as they apply what they learned in Money Sense to their experience with Money Path. To learn more about Money Path, watch this short video

For more information on all of our volunteer roles and how they differ from each other, contact volunteer manager Kathy Weinberg-Kinsey at (414) 310-5917 or kathy@securefutures.org.

Our annual fall kickoff event is coming up on Tuesday, September 24th! For more information or to register to attend, visit our online event page or check your inbox for our email invite.
