A fine arts photographer based in Jacksonville, FL, Luke retells the well-loved classic of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” in 25 images. She uses handcrafted props, costumes, masks, and building structures to create the set and Carroll’s iconic characters, and captured these scenes with a plastic toy camera first sold in the 1980s.

TEODORA is the story of a woman of unbelievable strength. The main character is Teodora Verbitskaya. The onstage interviewer, an official of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration frames the story with his questions.

Disney's Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.

This February, LeMoyne Arts will be holding Pre-K Art Sparks: Reading and Craft for the community's toddling artists. Join this free program as we enjoy a reading of Love from the Crayons by Drew Daywalt and a small craft activity afterward.

This year all films will be screened in person at the Student Life Cinema. The hybrid documentary “Foragers” from the Berlin-based Palestinian sculptor and filmmaker Jumana Manna investigates the age-old Palestinian practice of gathering wild edibles such as the herb za’atar and the delicacy ‘akkoub, a thistle-like plant with medicinal properties, and how these traditions conflict with Israeli nature conservation laws that essentially criminalize the Palestinian herb-picking culture.

Isabella Alsharif has a total of 6-8 large artworks. Each piece is a different portrait of a prominent woman (women) from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Each size is approximately 48 “x60”. There will also be framed poetry Alsharif has written for each painting, connecting the viewer to the painting’s story or theme. Isabella Alsharif’s artworks will be on display from January 27 to March 26, 2023, in person at the Artport Gallery or virtually in COCA’s Online Gallery.

A warp and weft are considered the two basic components used in a weaving to turn thread and/or yarn into fabric. Knowledge of empowerment through these craft-based practices & acknowledgment of these forgotten/discarded domestic traditions will be seen. For all of the conceptual underpinning that inspired their creation and interpretation, these works from an all female group of artists, will remain committed to an intriguing physicality that comes from palpable material usage and technique.
