Fusion World Dance Concert
Presented by the Asian Coalition at Turner Auditorium

Visit faraway places and glimpse the magical beauty of dances from diverse cultures rarely seen. Look through the eyes of yesterday to unravel the mysteries surrounding the fusion of cultures to create new and exciting movements. This event is a fundraiser for the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee - a non-profit.

Starring Geena Davis and Tom Hanks. As America's stock of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by a publicity-hungry candy maker. Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller spar with each other, scout Ernie Capadino and grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan on their way to fame.

12th Annual Jazz Showcase
Presented by Thursday Night Music Club at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall
Thursday, August 15, 2019
Hear the delightful musings of the Thursday Night Music Club as they play music from the swing era to the present, including traditional jazz, swing, funk, blues, rock, and Latin jazz arrangements. Featured vocalists are Fred Lee, Denise Tansey, and Lisa Foltz.
The band is a diverse group of mostly amateur musicians from around the community who meet every Thursday evening to practice and learn about music and the jazz ensemble.

Sundown Concert Series: Drivin n Cryin with Revival
Saturday, August 17, 2019
Enjoy live music from Drivin' N Cryin' right in the heart of Tallahassee's Cascades Park. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Local nonprofits and food trucks will also be on-site with food and drink. All alcohol sales at the events go to support Capital City Youth Services, Big Bend Homeless Coalition, and CESC, Inc.

Take a trip through the imagination of the narrator as he listens to a rare recording of an old Jazz-Age musical. The characters appear in his dingy apartment, his flat is transformed into an impressive Broadway set, and both the narrator and the audience are taken on a 90-minute roller coaster ride of song, dance and laughter.

Presented by Quincy Music Theatre
Gypsy, is considered one of the top musicals of the 20th-century. This stage adaptation is based on the 1957 memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist, and focuses on her mother, Rose, whose name has become synonymous with "the ultimate show business mother."

Cape St. George Lighthouse Full Moon Climb

Watch the sun set and full moon rise from the top of the Cape St. George Lighthouse during the full moon climb. After sunset, people are invited to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the full moon, as space and time permit. Light refreshments will be served.
