May Showers....Bring June Flowers?

Wow! It's officially May and we are getting more rain. The good news is that our creeks will be flowing, flowers blooming and hills will stay green well into June. So get cozy and enjoy this wacky weather!

Have you got tickets for the Rhubarb Review yet?? If not, grab yours today! The show opens next weekend. Don't miss the chance to laugh and enjoy the show with your friends and neighbors.

Debris Day is TOMORROW! We'll be there Rain or Shine so collect your bulky items, things to shred or just a whole bunch of things that won't fit in your trash can and come on down from 8am-1pm.

Rhubarb Revue - NEXT Weekend!
May 12, 13, 19 & 20

The funnest - and funniest - night of the year is back! The Rhubarb Revue, a Tam Valley tradition, has been entertaining the community since 1954. Where else can you pack a picnic dinner, a bottle of wine and sit with friends to enjoy locally written comedy and homegrown humor. This year's Rhubarb pokes fun at the shenanigans on Nextdoor, the Supreme Court, and some of the unique aspects of living in Tam Valley. We hope you join us for a very special community building event and eat some Rhubarb crisp while you’re at it!

TCSD Board Meeting
May 10th
7pm
Tam Valley Community Center

Here is a summary of the upcoming items at the Board meeting:

  • Conduct a public hearing on proposed rate increases of solid waste service charges for the next five years. We are proposing a 2% increase per year in rates. We believe that many, if not all, of the other Marin communities will experience much higher increases and, as a result, their rates will be very similar to TCSD rates at the end of the five-year period (FY27-28).

  • Options to remodel the Community Center bathrooms

  • A request from Parma Way residents regarding a contribution for the repair/renovation of the Palma Way bridge project

  • Approve a refund to the Tam Junction Commercial Center for water leak per the wastewater billing adjustment policy

The Goats are Coming!

Keep an eye out this week for the hardest working tribe around. We are fortunate to have these hearty eaters help clearing hard to reach brush on our hillsides. Their work allows us to reduce our fire risk and have some entertainment.

Please keep in mind that as cute as they are, they are not pets. Keep your distance and let them do their job.
