In 2013 Tamarack joined a newly formed organization called The Maker's Coalition; a coalition of business, educational institutions, non-profits and service providers coming together to build a trained cut and sew industry for America.

Started by a few Twin Cities-based companies who identified the need for a better trained workforce, Maker's Coalition helped form a 5 month educational program at one of the local Trade Schools. There have now been 3 graduating classes and Tamarack plans to send two employees through the program in the coming year!

Tamarack takes tremendous pride in sourcing materials and hiring labor for the manufacturing of our products locally. This creates greater stability for the local and national economies, while utilizing skilled labor that's committed to providing high quality products and materials for our customers.
