Alumni Memorial Mass

Monday, November 3, 2025

6:00PM

Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends of Tampa Catholic,

Each November, the Church invites us to set aside time to prayerfully remember our deceased loved ones. The Eucharist, as a sign of Jesus’ death and resurrection, is a beautiful way to honor their memory and give thanks for their lives.

We invite you to join us for the Alumni Memorial Mass on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Blessed Edmund Rice Chapel. This special liturgy is offered for all members of our school community who have passed away, with particular remembrance of alumni and staff who entered eternal life this past year.

For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be recorded and shared on Tampa Catholic’s YouTube channel in the days following the celebration.

Together, we will honor the lives and legacies of our beloved TC family members who have gone before us. May God continue to bless you for your faith, your support, and your enduring commitment to Tampa Catholic.

Sincerely,

Robert C. Lees

President

The Tree of Life

The Tree of Life sculpture is a permanent and meaningful way Tampa Catholic memorializes each of its deceased alumni. The hand-carved teak and acrylic sculpture was created in 1989 by artist Sanford Werfel, and its purchase was made possible by a generous gift from Joe Molloy ’79.

Upon notification of an alumnus’ passing, their name and year of graduation are engraved on a leaf that is placed on the Tree of Life sculpture located in the Blessed Edmund Rice Chapel. Faculty, staff, coaches and administrators with 5 or more years of service are also memorialized in this way. The Tree of Life Brochure listing the alumni and staff added prior to this year may be found HERE.

This year, we will add 21 new leaves to the Tree of Life.
