We had an amazing week back from Winter Break! Welcome again to the start of our second semester and third nine-weeks. Teachers and students were ready and motivated to begin a new year and semester.

A Special Thank You to our parents and students who attended and participated in our ROAR Pep Rally and another Special Thank You to our guest speakers, Mr. and Mrs. Figgers. We are looking forward seeing improvement in our students' academic and behavioral success here at Tangelo Park Elementary.

I would like to invite everyone to join us in support of our chorus students as they sing on the court before the Orlando Magic game on January 25th. Discounted tickets are available for $15. More information is below in the newsletter and here is the link for tickets: http://fevo.me/tangelopark

We are looking forward to another great week!

Thank you Tigers!

Teacher Spotlight
Ms. Niedermeyer, 2nd Grade

Q: How long have you been a teacher? How long at TPES?
A: I have been an educator for approximately 1.5 years with OCPS. This is my first full year of teaching and I love being a Tangelo Tiger.

Q: Where did you graduate from college?
A: I graduated from The University of Central Florida with a major in Cinema Studies and a minor in Communications.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being an educator?
A: I absolutely love seeing a student's face when they finally understand something that they were maybe struggling with. The look of joy just fills me with joy as well.

Q: What book is your favorite book?
A: This one is SO hard for me. I love so many books. I would say if I had to just pick one it would be Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  I love her sense of humor and her ability to have such strong female characters in a time when that was uncommon.

Q: Hobbies, interests?
A: I have many craft hobbies like embroidery, drawing, decoupage, and much more.  I love the musicals and my favorite of all time is "Hamilton"! I actually just went to see "Hamilton" over the winter break and it made me beyond happy.
