Long Beach/San Pedro, CA (September 18, 2025) — Tangent Productions/Cultura Presents officially releases their fall 2025 music and entertainment calendar, featuring a variety of shows for all ages.
Max 80s (Cultura Presents) returns on Saturday, September 20, for the South Bay’s biggest ’70s/’80s collaboration — RETRO FEST 2! Following the success of last April’s inaugural event, this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better. Taking place at Warehouse 9 (formerly Brouwerij West, 110 E. 22nd St. in San Pedro), the all-day celebration will transport fans through a high-energy journey of the greatest hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and beyond. The party kicks off with a special guest DJ at 4 p.m., followed by The K-Tel All-Stars 5:30 p.m., and headliners Max 80s at 8 p.m.
Doors open at 4 p.m., and the event is ALL AGES, with a 21+ full bar featuring beer, hard seltzer cocktails, and hard kombucha, plus nonalcoholic options. Come hungry — enjoy eats from local food favorites, including Zoey’s Munchies, 8e8 Thai Food, Wetzel’s Pretzels, and BittieBitez Mini Donuts. Don’t miss this unforgettable night of retro vibes, live music, and good times under the San Pedro sky!

The show kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with Wall of Sound delivering the authentic tones, style, and energy of classic Grateful Dead performances. This is a family-friendly night of music and good vibes — perfect for Deadheads and newcomers alike.

Tangent Productions/Cultura Presents welcomes 1980s hitmakers Missing Persons on Saturday, October 18, at Warehouse 9 in San Pedro. Come hear singer Dale Bozzio and her band play “Words,” “Destination Unknown,” and other signature tunes at this indoor show, which will be enhanced by ’80s-inspired visuals displayed on a 34' x 17' screen. Opening the night is Fast Times Ultimate 80s, plus DJ Rome will be spinning the best ’80s music all night. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. Enjoy a full bar with beer, wine, and signature cocktails, along with food vendors and San Pedro’s own Miller Butler with their pizza popup.

Tangent Productions presents reggae pioneers The Wailers on Sunday, October 19, at the Golden Sails Hotel, 6285 E. Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach. Also on the bill are E.N Young, Dubbest, The Fully Fullwood Band, Simpkin Project, and Skunkdub. DJ Rome will spin throughout the evening, with the one and only Ras Mike from Nug Radio as host!

Tangent Productions presents The Dickies on Saturday, November 22, at the Golden Sails Hotel in Long Beach. The L.A. punk band, formed in 1977, delivers a hilarious punk cabaret performance that is not to be missed! Joining them onstage will be the rAdolescents, featuring the legendary Rikk Agnew and Casey Royer from The Adolescents, playing the latter band’s 1981 “blue album” in its entirety. Also performing is Change Today featuring Joe Wood of TSOL fame, along with two local punk-powered favorites, Spider and Razing Jane. You’re definitely going to see OGs showing you how it’s done!
