Hope this email finds you well on this first Wednesday of June.

Before I any go any further, and some rain starts to fall , I'd like to thank our Permits and Licenses Chair Rachel Freeman for very ably representing us at last night's Brooklyn Borough Board meeting .

On to a usual mix of updates, reminders and potential points of interest...

Since today is the first Wednesday of June, it follows that next Wednesday ,June 12^th , is the second Wednesday of June and when our June General Board Meeting will be held. It'll take place in Red Hook at Pave Academy and begin at 6:30 p.m.
Also a week from today, DCP will be hosting it's , first of two, Gowanus Business roundtable meetings at The Bell House from 2 p.m until 5 p.m. If you are a property and/or business owner in Gowanus please take this survey.
Along with the Gowanus Grind, Saturday in Gowanus will also feature the Dredgers hosting their Gowanus Challenge SuperFUN Canoe Race. While I have no doubt it will be fun, I am not sure it can match the absurdity of me shooting off the starting pistol at last year’s race.
This Sunday, June 9th is Portside NY's "Second Sunday Tanker Time". It would be fun anywhere but with the view from the Mary A. Whalen , it's really something worth checking while ALSO experiencing community in action.
Congestion claims.
Alternate Side Parking rules, like they were today and Tuesday, will be suspended tomorrow June 6th. Parking meters will remain in effect.
Subway service changes for tomorrow, June 6th.
Bus service changes for tomorrow, tomorrow, June 6th.
