Received these from Recipient Scott Wilson and from Pirate Travis Wentworth as Dive Pirate board member and instructor Gregg Wentworth walked Scott and his adaptive buddy Jennifer Fowler through their pool training.

Training out of San Antonio's Chapter DiveMasters, Martin and I stopped by during a recent road trip to say hello to owner Tom Bartley, see the new dive shop and thank him for all he and the Wentworths do to make this possible!

In the spotlight

Another fun training picture...

Derrick McMillon has been working on his skills for about 3 years now, and he's excited to finally take on his dive trip! Thanks to the incredible service from Tanks A Lot Dive Center and instructor Matt Crawford, we have this fun picture as Derrick completed his training last week.

Retired Sgt. Derrick McMillon, US Army

Derrick is a man who doesn’t like to be slowed down. A former Army Ranger and proud veteran, Derrick was severely wounded by an IED in 2001. The shock wave from the explosion caused a spinal fracture along Derrick’s L-4 and L-5 vertebrae, severely limiting his motion; but through adaptive sports and a supportive family, he has learned to make the most of it.
