Soul-stirring tradition, but served with a serious twist: The Tanner Cundy Duo is bringing five-string upright bass and upside-down guitar to a stage near you!

Cornish born but Northwest raised, singer-songwriter and guitarist Tanner Cundy (The Druthers, The Friendly Strangers) combines fingerstyle and flatpick with the kind of technical pedalboard wizardry typically found behind Pink Floyd's extended sequences, driven by his trademark lefty-playing-righty acoustic delivery.

Julio Appling (The Student Loan, The Friendly Strangers) extends beyond the reaches of contemporary upright performance and into the realm of heart-gripping solo passages and seat-rumbling expressions via his modified bass. Together, it's an experience that blends wholly-original tunesmithing with newgrassian fireworks, and the kind of moody exploration that will transport you from festival lawn to porchside jam and back again.
