Presented at the Annual TVHS PTSG Gala

At Tanque Verde High School, our teachers do more than teach — they mentor, inspire, challenge, encourage, and shape the future of our students every single day.

The TVHS PTSG is proud to introduce the Teacher Excellence Awards, a special recognition program celebrating the educators who make a lasting impact in our classrooms and throughout our school community.

Students and parents will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite teachers in three meaningful categories. Each award recipient will receive:

•  A commemorative award presented at the Gala
•  Schoolwide recognition
•  A $100 classroom grant to enhance learning for their students

Award Categories

1. The Golden Apple Award

For Exceptional Teaching & Academic Excellence

This award honors the teacher who goes above and beyond to make learning engaging, challenging, and inspiring. Whether through innovative lessons, high expectations, or unwavering support, this educator sparks curiosity and fosters academic growth in every student they teach.

2. The Heart of TVHS Award

For Compassion, Support & Student Advocacy

This award recognizes the teacher who makes students feel seen, heard, and valued. The Heart of TVHS is the educator who creates a welcoming environment, builds strong relationships, and supports students both inside and outside the classroom.

3. The Trailblazer Award

For Innovation, Creativity & School Spirit

This award celebrates the teacher who brings fresh ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to our campus. Whether through creative projects, leadership in programs, or spirited involvement in school life, this educator helps move TVHS forward in exciting ways.

These awards are a celebration of gratitude — a chance for our community to say thank you to the teachers who make Tanque Verde High School such a special place.

Winners will be announced live at the Annual TVHS PTSG Gala.
