Dear Family and World Mission Outreach Partners,
| |
Blessings in Jesus our Lord to each of you. Darlene and I are constantly remembering you in our prayers. You are a vital part of World Mission Outreach and we thank God for you as we journey together, serving our Lord Jesus. Thank you for your prayers and support – keeping us out there in the world to shine the glorious hope of the Gospel of Jesus our Lord.
We are giving glory to God for the great things He did last month in East Africa and our hearts rejoice to see God at work transferring people from the domain of darkness to the domain of light (Colossians 1:13-14).
TANZANIA OUTREACH UPDATES
KARATU
Jewish Outreach – Karatu, Tanzania
Glory to God for Barbara, a Jewish lady from Italy who accepted Jesus at the event. During the event, Barbara was touched by the Tanzanian’s love for Israel and the Jewish people, the African choir music, and the message of grace in Messiah Jesus as presented through Isaiah 53 and Leviticus 17:11. After the message she prayed to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. She is currently getting follow-up from our friends in the local church in Italy. We thank you for praying for her.

Open Outreach – Karatu, Tanzania
Following the Jewish outreach, under the principles of Romans 1:16 - the gospel to Jews and Gentiles - we hosted an open outreach in Karatu to all peoples and many were saved! We thank God for their souls and for the local churches who are now doing the follow-up.

ZANZIBAR
Incredible and perhaps hard to believe, but people from all over the world come to Tanzania to visit Mount Kilimanjaro and the various Safari parks, then they often go to the island of Zanzibar to rest aside its clear waters. For many, it is the last stop before they go back home, but for us at WMO and the Zanzibar local church, we call it the door to heaven, where the Gospel is presented and many get saved. In light of Romans 1:16, WMO together with the local church conducted two evangelistic outreaches in the past week on Zanzibar.

Zanzibar’s population is around 98% Muslim, and like any country around the world, religions, rituals, traditions and other philosophies hinder and destroy the true relationship God wants with people that comes only through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Jewish Outreach – Zanzibar, Tanzania
We had a great audience of Israelis at the Jewish event on Friday September 2. Many heard the Gospel of Jesus through Isaiah 53 and Leviticus 17:11, and the seed of the Gospel was planted in many hearts. We thank God for Moran, an Israeli who prayed after the service; surrendering her heart to Jesus the Messiah as Lord and Savior. Please pray for her to grow in the Lord. My good friend and pastor in Tel Aviv is doing the follow-up and discipleship for her growth. God is good to Israel and the Nations of the world by giving His Son Jesus for mankind to have eternal life.

Muslim Outreach – Zanzibar, Tanzania
As challenging as it was, we thank God for bringing so many Muslim people to the open field to hear the good news that Jesus the Lord forgives sins and through His blood and resurrection alone, death can be removed from one’s soul. Many, many came forward to surrender their lives to Jesus. The local churches are now doing the follow-up with these new believers.

MBEYA
Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Centers – Mbeya, Tanzania
By God’s grace, Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Centers is a ministry of World Mission Outreach which works to touch the lives of orphans and widows in light of James 1:27. Our kids partnered with us to host our first outreach event at the center. There are many unchurched kids in the community surrounding the orphan center. We pray that in time the center will become a place for them to find Jesus, hope, and any opportunities the Lord provides. Our first outreach was to 108 kids and was done through a sports day with a soccer tournament and other games. After the games we welcomed them to the center for a hot lunch followed by choir songs and a presentation of the Gospel. After the Gospel presentation, over seventy children prayed to surrender their little lives to the Lord! Through our partnership with the local churches the children will receive follow-up. What a glorious day, to see so many children praying to Jesus!
| |
We appreciate prayers for Maara, our staff called by God from New Zealand to direct the work at the center. We also appreciate prayers for Darlene who was led by Jesus to start this Orphan Center to reach kids. In the future we are also hoping to develop a volunteer program to bring people from all over the world to help at the center then the children can share the Gospel with volunteers.
