Right after I had my first vaccine shot, I had a mild sense of euphoria that I hadn’t experienced in a long time. My wife got her vaccine at the same time. For the rest of the day, we were running around our home offices telling each other “Happy Vaccination Day!”
When you read this, I’ll have received my second shot (which is Wednesday, April 27). We’re making plans for the rest of the year. I’m looking forward to walking (outside) without a mask on.
I know that not everyone believes in vaccines, but I am gratified to see the number of Americans who have, or are likely to get, the vaccine has gone from about 30% in December to 65% today.
Many businesses are offering incentives to get vaccine. I candidly support those effort, and put my money where my mouth is: Every employee who works for our brands received 2 hours of paid time for each vaccine they received, no questions asked.
