Episode 13, April 26, 2020
Hi everyone,

Welcome to Tony's Tap TV. Episode 13. If you just joined us, check out the link below to all the past episodes that are now archived.

Meanwhile, we start this episode out with TWO tap cartoons compliments of Acia Gray in Austin, Texas.

Then I'm pleased to re-list a link to DeWitt Fleming Jr's latest music.

Next we have an International Tap Dance Hall of Fame tribute to Duke Ellington. He is the first musician to be inducted into the Hall of Fame because of his amazing history of including tap dancers in his concert productions.

Notice also below an announcement for an on-line concert created and presented by the Duke Ellington Center for the Performing Arts. I'll be there! Along with a host of other dancers, musicians & vocalists in celebration of Duke Ellington's BIRTHDAY. It's this coming Wednesday, April 29th at 8pm. For details visit: decfa.org

And here's a clip from my Tap Basics Instructional Video that focuses on SHUFFLE TOE HEELS.

Also check out this NEW promo for the Duke Ellington Center for the Performing Arts concerts that have been presented at Birdland Jazz Club. These productions are co-produced by DECFA and the ATDF. We hope to resume them in the fall.

Tony

PS: One more time, ARTISTS, check out the link below to the Howard Gilman Foundation. It's a list of places and organizations that you can apply to for Covid-19 related funding as an independent artist, dancer, singer, actor or musician. It's a great resource all in one place.

This project was created in a "pay what you can" format, and if you like what you see and if you send us some do re mi, we will consider it a donation. No strings attached. On the other hand, if there's no money, then no problem. Just know that the ATDF appreciates any donation you CAN make large or small, especially now in this crazy new world.

So my friends, keep safe, keep well & in the spirit of tap dance ... PLEASE keep time!
