JAINA extends its heartfelt anumodna—respect and admiration—to all Tapasvis who have undertaken fasting and penance during this auspicious time of Paryushan / Das Lakshan Parva. Your dedication to spiritual upliftment through Tapasya inspires us all, reflecting the essence of Jain values.


If you’ve completed

  • 13 years and older who have completed a minimum of 8 days of fasting (Atthai)
  • Under 13 years old who have completed at least 3 days of fasting (Athham)

we invite you to share your Tapasya details through the Google Form link below to be honored in a special Virtual Sanji event hosted by JAINA. This event will showcase your remarkable journey of self-discipline and inspire others to follow in your footsteps.


Deadline for Submission : Please submit your name, photograph, and Tapasya details before 30th September, 2024 and join this special celebration!

Support Jaina Calendar Project And Be Recognized

Heartfelt gratitude is extended by the JAINA Calendar Committee for the unwavering support shown since 1999. The generous contributions received have been vital to the continued success of the JAINA Calendar project, with each donation deeply appreciated. 


In keeping with tradition, donors contributing $150 or more (Gold) and $500 or more (Platinum) will be honored in the "Donor Appreciation & Thank You" section of the 2025 JAINA Calendar, which sees over 8,000 copies printed annually.  


Last year, over 50 donors were recognized, and this year, the goal is to feature 100+. The deadline for accepting donation and inclusion is Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Projects of JAINA Academic Liaison Committee  

Invitation For Papers -  “Significant Contributions Of Jainism”  


The JAINA Academic Liaison Committee is excited to announce a project to compile and publish short essays on the significant contributions of Jainism in various fields, including Physics, Biology, Philosophy, Art, Architecture, Mathematics, and the Freedom Struggle. While a list of topics is provided in the attached flyer, submissions are open to additional subjects. Jain and non-Jain scholars worldwide are invited to contribute papers. 


Due to high interest, the deadline to submit an intent to participate has been extended to September 22, 2024. Please refer to the attached brochure for detailed guidelines, or contact the committee members for more information:

Unveiling A 2,000-Year Mystery: Connecting The Nirvana Of Mahavir And Buddha 

The JAINA-Academic Liaison Committee (ALC), in collaboration with the Jain Center of Greater Boston and scholars from various institutes, has published the proceedings of a symposium on the Nirvana dating of Lord Mahavir. The research is based on scholarly papers exploring Jain and Buddhist scriptures.
