Volume 317

April 22, 2026

Whether your favorite streaming service is Netflix or another, an increasingly diverse array of content channels piques interest. With various genres at your fingertips, original options are intuitively appealing. From a behavior change viewpoint, consider how the Power of Choice gains attention and motivates you (us) to “watch something.” That’s engagement.

By analogy, experience shows there are many ways to Amplify Impact via win/win interdisciplinary relationships with current and prospective medical referral sources. We purposely refer to numerous contact methods as purposely Omni Channel, knowing that, like your patients, Better Hearing is Better Healthcare allies have their own communication preferences.

With respect to Educate Well Monthly goals, Volume 316 asserted:

“With AIQ Medical Networking list in hand and interdisciplinary outreach goals clear, Modeling 1-2-3 EWM Methods is strongly recommended.”

#1. is E-Newsletters. E is for Email or Electronic, whereby, at the monthly push of a button, you efficiently and effectively distribute reputable educational information to 100s or 1000s of key contacts. Importantly, as previously highlighted in multiple Practice Growth Insights volumes, valuable response data results. Our strong recommendation… Let’s Talk.

What’s the Evidence? As we saw recently in Volume 297:

“When practices launch their Educate Well Monthly E-Newsletter programs, these typify responses we hear:”

Leading Practices instituting our E-Newsletter program inevitably ask…

“Can HDI also mail something monthly to medical networking contacts?”

Indeed, we do, which signals us to detail our:

#2. Targeted Mail Postcard Program

What’s your Must-See content plan?

➡️ AIQ Medical Networking list = The Who, thoughtfully curated for diversity and accuracy of names, medical credentials, and USPS delivery information.

➡️ 12 Educate Well Monthly postcards = The What, informative episodes ready to show:

➡️ Introductory packet, a nicely Practice Branded envelope, containing “Hallmark card” style letter with:

  • Front – Did You Know? preview, which highlights Whole Person Care imperatives.
  • Center spread – Carefully crafted communique, including philanthropic causes their well-intended referrals will help support.
  • Back: Our Patients Say it Best testimonials.

With deliverables constructed in this manner, your targeted program’s leading star is directed by The How. Realizing there’s a lot involved in the mechanics of operationalizing monthly procedures, Practices are relieved and delighted to learn that HDI takes care of ALL mailing protocols. From list creation to mail merge and (actual) stamps to mailing, our turnkey solution makes things easy. Every month, we aim to:

  • Receive your updated list by the last week of the month.
  • Mail before month end, so that…
  • Recipients receive the 1st week of following month.

Case in point, with May being Speech-Language-Hearing Month, this is an ideal time to get started. Regarding the notion of Updated Lists, we strongly encourage a Core + Flex approach.

Core: Those Practices we will mail to every single month, aiming to consistently stay in touch.

Flex: Those Practices we will mail to just in selected months, aiming towards comorbidity-related specialists.

For example, say your list contains 125 contacts.

✅ Core = 100

✅ Flex = 25

Flex component examples:

May’s Speech-Language-Hearing Month: Concierge Medical Doctors, Social Workers and Pharmacists.

June’s Brain Awareness & Alzheimer’s Month: Geriatricians, Neurologists and Senior Centers.

Other intuitive examples throughout the year are Physical Therapists during September’s Risk of Falls Month, Psychologists during October’s Depression Month or Endocrinologists during November’s Diabetes Month.

Central to professionally nurturing your Whole Person Care connections is the concept of Educational Relevance.

Just as Hearing & Balance treatment plans reflect your sense of purpose, medical networkers are Subject Matter Experts on respective hearing loss comorbidities.

As avid patient advocates, what's in it for them?

Other medical providers need trusted healthcare allies to refer to when patients' treatment needs are in another area of specialty.

Amid busy days and perhaps dozens of clinical encounters, their Differential Diagnoses often require a "Go To"... Who better than you?

In due course, AFTER you take great care of referred patients, your referral sources will ask them... "How did it go?"

At that opportune moment, your (now) Mutual Patient's advocacy will speak volumes and positively reinforce logical alliances. What started in the Mail is the catalyst for Happy Trails!

See you next week when we Get Out to talk about In-Person visits.
