City To Receive American Rescue Plan Act Funds

Tarpon Springs is designated to receive $12.8 million as part of the American Rescue Plan Act-Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. The Board of Commissioners at its August 24 meeting approved signing the fund agreement to initiate the process of receiving the funds, which are to be dispersed in two installments. The funding is restricted for certain purposes, and public engagement sessions and meetings will be scheduled for citizen input into prioritizing use of the funds.

The site plan was approved in August, and construction of the 3,327 sq. ft. bank will begin later this year. The new bank features drive-thru access and ATM.
