Beyond Our Corners...highlights inspiring stories and ideas from beyond the Four Corners region.

One Sky, Many Stories

One of the reasons I love sharing stories from beyond our own backyard is the reminder that creativity has no borders. One Sky, Many Stories explores Cosmic Echoes: A Shared Sky, an exhibition in Geraldton, Western Australia, where Indigenous artists from Australia and South Africa celebrate the night sky through art, storytelling, and generations of cultural knowledge. It's a beautiful reminder that while our stories may differ, we all share the same remarkable sky.

A Voice Across 1,300 Years

Every story begins with a voice, and sometimes those voices have been waiting centuries to be heard again. Researchers from Trinity College Dublin recently identified a long-overlooked ninth-century manuscript in Rome containing one of the earliest known copies of Cædmon's Hymn, considered the oldest surviving poem in English. It's a beautiful reminder that literature has an extraordinary way of outlasting time, connecting today's readers with a poet who lived more than 1,300 years ago.

Sometimes ideas need time to breathe, evolve, and patiently wait until they're ready to be shared. For anyone who has ever written, painted, composed, or created something from the heart, it's an encouraging reflection on trusting the creative process.
