Enjoy a Taste of OLLI this Tuesday, August 9
There is still time to sign up for Dan Dawson's Zoom talk Wines and Wineries of Southern Oregon taking place tomorrow, August 9, 4:00–5:00 pm (PT). Register for this event by clicking here and receive the Zoom link in a confirmation email.

Dan Dawson's presentation will wrap-up our eventful and enlightening A Taste of OLLI series!
Last week's presentation was especially eventful as Betsy Massie was presenting from a mandatory fire evacuation zone, where authorities ordered residents to be packed up and ready to go at a moment's notice, which Betsy was. Meanwhile, nearby thunderstorms scared her rescue dog into jumping behind her for protection halfway through the presentation, followed by a notice that her son had tested positive for Covid. All the while, Besty continued on with her OLLI presentation on the Jan. 6 committee. Pretty amazing!
OLLI Book Club
OLLI’s Book Club is reading “The Glass Castle,” by Jeannette Walls for the month of August. The book discussion will be Saturday, August 20th at 3:00pm (pacific time) via Zoom. Any OLLI member is welcomed to join us. Send an email to Andrea Gay at [email protected] and you will receive the zoom link the night before.

It's Winter Course Proposal Month!
Share Your Knowledge
Interested in teaching a course during OLLI's Winter term? You can submit your proposal throughout the month of August. The sooner you send in your proposal, the better your chance of getting your preferred starting date, day, and time. Members are looking for both in-person and online courses. If it’s the topic you studied in school, or in life, there is plenty of room for your course in the catalog. A course can run from 2 to 10 class sessions. Most classes run from 60 minutes to 2 hours.   • August: Winter course proposal period open all month
  • August 9: A Taste of OLL presentation by Dan Dawson
  • August 15: Fall course assignments will be mailed/emailed
  • August 22: Fall open enrollment begins
  • August 31: Winter course proposal period closes
  • September 5: Labor Day Holiday - Office will be closed
  • September 12: Fall term begins
  • November 18: Fall term ends
