Make the Right Call

In an emergency or non-emergency, it's important to know who to call for assistance. While it may seem clear to call 9-1-1 for emergencies, some issues, such as when a situation does not pose an immediate threat but may require police assistance, can be directed to the City of Chicago's non-emergency 3-1-1 City Services center. For more information, click here. Aldermanic Updates

Beginning Monday, July 10, Clark Street between Grand Avenue and Kinzie Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow expanded outdoor dining for over a dozen neighborhood restaurants. Ald. Reilly Hosts Community Shred Day for 42nd Ward July 22

Alderman Reilly is hosting a Community Shred Day on Saturday, July 22 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event will be held at the Ohio Place Dog Park located at 360 West Ohio Street. Households are limited to two boxes and shredding materials will be accepted until the shred truck is full. A representative from Alderman Reilly's Office will be present to address concerns or questions regarding city-related matters.

From Alderman Hopkins: Reminder to Keep Dogs Leashed

As a friendly reminder, please keep your dog(s) leashed when utilizing public spaces outdoors. Unfortunately, many complaints are received about dogs off-leash attacking small dogs, young children, and adults. With school out for the summer and warmer weather upon us, we can expect more foot traffic at our famed parks and recreational attractions. Be courteous and keep your dog(s) leashed. For a list of dog-friendly areas nearby, click here. For the full ordinance, please click here.
