In the world of political turmoil and mentally troubled citizens, we need to be prepared and know how to defend ourselves against an active assailant. The session is not only geared to the active shooter, but other incidents such as vehicle and edged weapon attacks that are becoming more prevalent among lone wolf attackers. Understand the principles of AVOID - DENY - DEFEND and how it may save your life. This FREE briefing will be provided by the Anne Arundel County Police Department and seating is very limited.

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification Workshop

Opportunities exist for small, minority and women owned businesses to meet minority participation goals on government and private sector contracts, but you must be certified. Attend this workshop to learn how to apply for a certification such as MBE, DBE, ACDBE or SBE company. The event is free to attend but space is limited.

Odenton Day- October 6, 2018

The Greater Odenton Improvement Association, along with the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, the Odenton Heritage Society, and the Central Maryland Chamber, are once again hosting Odenton Day for 2018. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 6th, from 9 AM til 2 PM at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company at 1425 Annapolis Road in Odenton. The Fire Company will also be holding its annual fire prevention open house at the same time. This annual event brings together a variety of community groups, service organizations, and local businesses in a day of fun for the whole family.
