Every now and then we encounter a new book that we're so excited about we want to shout it from the rooftops, so we have this special designation to distinguish it from the rest:
July V.I.B...
by Nick Arvin

" Sandra Dallas in her review in The Denver Post said it so well: 'You have to love a book that starts like this: A cow falls through the roof of a house, landing on Mother. She dies, but her voice lives on. This book has it all.' Nick Arvin’s delightful, thoughtful new story will captivate and transport you to 'America’s forgotten war' of 1812. You’ll feel compelled to find out what new adventure the 'Mad Boy' will encounter next. The book is beautifully produced by Europa Editions. If you’re not familiar with Europa Editions (the publisher of Elena Ferrante and Mariel Barbery), part of their philosophy is 'to provide quality editions that have a distinct look and consistently high levels of editorial standards.' They also choose to publish literature not only for its ability to entertain and fascinate but to inform and enlighten. Check out Denver’s Nick Arvin as he enters the realm of internationally recognized authors." -- Matt Miller, Chief Operating Officer
by Kristin Hannah

" Be prepared. You'll want to just stay in your pajamas and read The Great Alone until you finish it! This novel, from The Nightingale author Kristin Hannah, is a family saga set in post-Vietnam War era Alaska. I loved it." -- Suzie Mulligan, Colfax Avenue store manager
by Sam Graham-Felsen

"I haven't loved a character as much since Holden Caulfield, although Green is no where near as tragic. David Greenfield will no doubt captivate you as you watch him negotiate the trials of 21st century adolescence. Humorous and poignant, this is a great story! " -- Kathy Coble, Personnel Manager
