Every now and then we encounter a new book that we're so excited about we want to shout it from the rooftops, so we have this special designation to distinguish it from the rest:
October V.I.B...
by Terrance Hayes

"Terrance Hayes is at it again in this National Book Award-nominated collection. In a sequence of sonnets that all share a title, Hayes grapples with the folding and unfolding of time and consequence that's gotten us to this fraught political, and undeniably personal, moment. His words feel OH SO GOOD knocking around in the brain, all the while slyly underlining so much of what's crazy-making in our world today. Beautiful, formidable, and, ultimately, full of love -- "If you think a hammer is the only way to hammer / A nail, you ain't thought of the nail correctly." Let Hayes explain." --  Lainie Formby, Adult Book Buyer
On shelves now...
by Lisa Locascio

"Think of this book as a sort of prequel to Erica Jong's  Fear of Flying --before our heroine got all jaded, right as she's coming (pun intended) into her own--updated for the 21st century. Open Me  is incredibly sexy and cringe-inducing all at once. I couldn't put it down!" --  Lainie Formby, Adult Book Buyer
