Reggie Tuck ’69 Chosen as Tau Man of the Year 2018
The Texas Kappa Sigma Educational Foundation will celebrate Reggie Tuck ’69 as this year’s Kappa Sigma Tau Man of the Year on November 3. Tau Man of the Year is the highest honor given to an alumnus, chosen by the Tau Trustees to recognize outstanding leadership, support and inspiration to the Tau Chapter.

Reggie is the founder and co-owner of Ranch Enterprises, Ltd. Based in Kerrville, it is one of the largest recreational raw land development companies in Texas, with prime areas of development in the Texas Hill Country, South Texas, West Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. He has also developed residential subdivisions in and around Kerrville.
Reggie served on the TKSEF board from 2008 - 2017. In 2011, he launched the Distinguished Alumni Speakers Series, bringing many of the Chapter’s most accomplished alumni to the Kappa Sigma Lodge to share with Tau actives their life experiences, career advice, and Kappa Sigma memories. In 2012, the Tau Chapter presented him with the Frank Erwin Award for his many years of exceptional guidance and support.

He and his wife, Rhonda, have two sons, both Tau Kappa Sigs, Cody ’07 and Travis ‘10, and a daughter, Mason, a Delta Gamma 2014 initiate. All three graduated from UT. Cody and his wife, Ashley, have two children, a son, Will, age 2, and a daughter, Peyton, age 1.
Reggie graduated from UT in 1971 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

He will be honored at the Tau Trustee Reunion and Parents’ Weekend celebration on Saturday, November 3, at the Kappa Sig Lodge. The day’s schedule will be announced after kickoff time for the UT vs. West Virginia game is posted.

The subjects of last month’s photo challenge were the cast of characters appearing in a Kappa Sig skit performed for the Varsity Carnival in the early 60s. The skit, written by Bill Wittliff, won first place. The second photo includes the same group of Sigs at Shultz’s Beer Garden years later. The cast includes: Robert “Doc” Chaney ‘61, Robert Borgers ‘61, Pat Cagle ’59, Bob Pettit '59 (deceased), Bob "Daddy-O” Wade ‘62, Bill Wittliff ’59 and George Siddons ‘59.
Jim Carroll ’59, George Siddons ’59, and Robert Parks ‘58 correctly identified all or several of the Sigs in the photos. Thank you for your submissions.

If you have photos from your personal Kappa Sig archives that you’d like to share, please scan and  email them to us, along with the names of those in the photos and any relevant information you’d like to share
