The family is the foundation of American society, but for far too many years, unreasonable tax rates took working parents' money. Mothers and fathers should not have to worry about making ends meet. American families need tax relief, so that parents can invest more in their children.

The tax reform you and I fought for is now the law and it is supportive of families. Our reform doubles the child tax credit and maintains the Hope and Lifetime Learning Tax Credits. With these provisions, parents can rest assured that they will have more money to support their children's education and endeavors.

More working parents are already bringing bonuses or pay raises back to their homes. While extreme liberals like Nancy Pelosi continue to argue for a return to the past, Missouri families know larger paychecks of any amount is money that parents can use to pay their bills or save for college expenses.

After years of economic pressure, middle class families are finally being lifted and the American Dream is being restored to all parts of America. We must continue to enact conservative policies that support today's families and create favorable conditions for families in the future. Together we can reduce government influence in our lives and allow families to keep more of their hard-earned tax dollars.

Onward,
