32 Acres of Land in Brick Township Will Be Preserved, Not Developed
This news was made official in March after a public hearing.
Plans to build 59 single-family homes on the land were pending before the Township's Planning Board. To keep the space open, Brick Township and Ocean County are paying a $8.55 million price tag to preserve it as open space.
"Existing trails on this site have been enjoyed by surrounding residents. Its permanent preservation will be enjoyed by the public," says Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines.
