The House and Senate are on Easter break for the weeks of April 15 and April 22.
The House and the Senate return to Springfield on April 30 for the final month of the legislative session.
We continue our efforts to support the passage of SB 1591, the Illinois Chamber proposal to promote the building and maintenance of data centers in Illinois. Yesterday, along with Chamber Tax Institute and Tech Council member QTS, we hosted a tour of the QTS data center in Chicago.
SB 1591 passed the Senate unanimously on April 10 and is now in the House.
On Monday, Illinois Chamber Tax Institute law firm member Horwood Marcus and Berk hosted the Tax Institute quarterly meeting. Senate Revenue committee Chairperson Senator Toi Hutchinson was the featured speaker. I also provided a mid-session legislative update. Here is a link to my presentation.

Senate Revenue committee
The Senate Revenue committee is not scheduled to meet over the break.
House Revenue committee
The House Revenue committee is scheduled to meet next week on Thursday in Chicago to conduct a subject matter hearing on sports wagering.
