We had an enthusiastic crowd at the Spring Shawl MAL Cast On last Friday. I'm excited to see how the projects turn out! If you missed it, do not fret. As long as you cast on and complete your project by Friday June 26th, you can still participate! We'll be stitching our Spring Shawls (along with other projects) together every Friday until June 26th...join us at the shop!

Trinity Cashmere...Grab It While You Still Can!

I was sad to find out that Trinity Cashmere yarn is being discontinued. Trinity Cashmere is a luxurious blend of Baby Alpaca, Mulberry Silk, and Cashmere that is sourced from a fair trade mill in Peru and priced consciously too. It has been one of my favorite yarns to use as a carry along in projects like the Lulu Slipover.

You can also make a Beret using a single ball of Trinity Cashmere!

I ordered a ton of Trinity Cashmere in as many colors as I could. But once this sells out, it is gone for good!

FIPs and WIPs

I needed more instant gratification this week so I completed a shop sample of the Step by Step Sweater for my upcoming Knitting My First Sweater class in May. This piece went quick for me because I put all my other projects aside for a few days.

I am in love with the happy colors of the Cloud yarn by Lang. I used 3 balls for mine. The pattern calls for 3-5 balls depending on the size.

I had finally decided to knit the Floral De Lis shawl for the Spring Shawl MAL until SweaterFreak released a new design this week, Florals for Spring. I guess I need to knit BOTH! Challenge accepted to complete both by June 26th!

This event is FREE and meets in the shop from 4-6PM. We serve wine and tea and snacks during this event.
