Mr. Wayne passed away Monday October 23, 2023 of complications of heart surgery last Thursday. To many, Mr. Wayne was their anchor in understanding difficult tax issues. He had forgotten more than most of us will ever know. He had the unique ability to read his audience, to see if they understood or he needed to say it a different way. He cared that we learned the difficult task of tax preparation. I called him Doc, because he knew everything, and had a sense of humor that made his examples of real-world taxation enjoyable and ones to which we could relate. He is responsible for the Fellowship and loved our new name. He considered all his friends and delighted when I told him someone had asked about him. The truly great have no erg. He was the best. We celebrate the life of this man and they never leave us when they are remembered so fondly. Rest well our teacher, mentor and friend. |
