About the Program

This program provides a comprehensive look at the intersection of tax law and immigration, specifically the imperative tax planning necessary in connection with immigration, and the unintended consequences of a failure to plan. The program will explore key considerations for foreign nationals before obtaining a green card. Topics will also include essential pre-immigration tax planning strategies, as well as an in-depth discussion of the tax consequences for foreign nationals who work full-time in the U.S., on both their domestic and worldwide income sources. This program is not to be missed for any immigration or tax attorney.

This program is presented by the Immigration & Naturalization Law section chaired by Ali Brodie and co-sponsored by the Taxation Law section, chaired by Philipp Behrendt. The Taxation Law section is sponsored by Hochman Salkin Toscher Perez P.C. Find out more about the sections at www.bhba.org.
