On behalf of myself, Council and our dedicated Township Staff I want to take this time to wish everyone Happy Holidays. As the year slowly comes to an end, I find myself looking back and reflecting on the year that was. I am truly grateful for the unwavering collaboration, engagement, and support shown by our entire community over the past year!
This spirit and collaboration was on full display at the annual Waubaushene Santa Claus Parade and Tay Tree Lighting Event. Seeing so many smiling faces and volunteers was truly heartwarming. I encourage you to view some of the photos and highlights of each event below.
This time of year also brings with it Winter! Although mother nature has been relatively kind to us so far, the snow will start falling soon enough, with that said a reminder that in order for our crews to safely and effectively plough the roads we need you to follow the Township’s winter parking regulations. From now until April 1st please do not park your vehicle on, or within 3.05 metres of, roads between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. We appreciate your cooperation, you are helping make Township snow clearing safer, more efficient and effective.
Lastly, a reminder that our Municipal Office will be closed from Monday December 25, 2023 and reopen on Tuesday January 2, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. For after-hour emergency service for Water, Wastewater, Roads and Parks please call 705-526-5762. The Tay Township Public Library will also have amended holiday hours, please visit tay.ca/library for more information.
If the past couple years have taught us anything, it’s the importance of keeping connected with those we love. I hope you find the time this holiday season to connect with family, friends and loved ones. From all of us at Tay Township happy holidays and happy new year!
Until next time.
