Dataw Island, S.C. - The brother and sister duo of Donald Taylor and Meredith Taylor take the first round lead at the 23rd Annual WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship after an opening round score of five under par 67. Their round included a total of 6 birdies, 11 pars, 1 bogey, to complete their opening round. They will go into the final round with a one shot lead over WSCGA 2020 Senior Player of the year Jayne Pardus with her partner Jeremy Moore and 2021 Walton Horton and Jeannie Campbell WSCGA Match Play Champion Rachel Wyatt with her partner Kyle Weiland.
In the Senior Division, 2021 WSCGA Senior Championship Runner up Pam Prescott and her partner Micheal Rogers have a 3 shot lead ( 7under par) over Natalie Huff and Danny Stubbs who posted a 4 under 68.

The 2021 WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship is being played at the beautiful Dataw Island Club on Dataw Island, SC. The field consists of 61 man & woman teams playing a Best Ball format the first day and a Select Drive-Alternate Shot format the second day.
