WilCo Day at the (Virtual) Capitol
Williamson County Chambers of Commerce hosted Williamson County Day at the Capitol Tuesday, March 2, via Zoom webinar. Members from the Taylor Chamber board and advocacy committee joined other members of the Taylor community (including civic and school leaders) for the presentations.
The group heard from Dist. 5 Texas Senator Charles Schwertner and the three House members that represent Williamson County: Dist. 52 (Taylor) Rep. James Talarico (in the top picture at top left), Dist. 16 Rep. John Bucy (pictured bottom left) Dist. 20 Rep. Terry Wilson represented by Jeff Frazier (pictured bottom right).
Topics ranged from storm and Covid recovery for communities, schools and businesses; transportation infrastructure; broadband accessibility; child care; universal pre-k; etc.
Taylor's Dist. 52 Rep. Talarico serves on the committees for calendars, public education and juvenile justice and family issues.
He will meet with the Chamber and its Advocacy team later in the month to discuss the Chamber's legislative agenda. If you would like to be on that call, let us know by sending an email to info@taylorchamber.org.

Free rapid Covid tests
The Chamber continues to offer free rapid Covid antigen tests at its building at 1519 N. Main St. for employees of its member businesses.

Service Fair
The Rotary Club of Taylor plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary in Taylor with a Service Fair designed to connect volunteer organizations and service clubs with people looking to become more involved in our community.
