Dorothy Goldwin was born and raised in Memphis by two Polish Jewish parents. Her parents were both in concentration camps in Germany during WWII and met afterwards in a Displaced Persons Camp. Afterwards, they moved to Memphis to start a new life for their family. Dorothy grew up in Memphis and attended White Station High School. Both of her parents dedicated much of their time to teaching local students about the Holocaust and after their deaths in the last few years, Dorothy has begun to do the same. She presents across the Mid South and works with Facing History and Ourselves to ensure that her parent's, and millions of other holocaust survivor's, legacies are honored and we root out violence in our current day society.
