The recent Thanksgiving holiday provided an opportunity to reflect on all we have and are thankful for. As we finish up these few weeks before winter break, enjoy time with your students and celebrate the season. Here's one of many videos sharing some holiday cheer. Holiday Song.

All learning logs are due December 15.

Professional Learning
Workshops offered by the MCOE Teacher Induction Program are offered at no additional cost to Candidates and Mentors in our program. Units are available for an additional fee. If you are not able to attend a meeting that you signed up for, be sure to notify us of your cancelation so that you avoid being charged for participation
Explore the creation of a learning environment where the needs of the whole child are attended too. Topics include: Caring for the Caregiver, A deeper Look Into the Life of a Foster Student, Culturally Responsive Teachers, Culturally Responsive Classrooms, Meeting the Needs of Special Education Students. Register through your portal under training.


Earn Units

Registration will be available for TIP Units starting in January.

CTA Conference
The California Teacher Association (CTA) hosts several conferences each year that are designed for educators.
Executive Order Candidates
Teachers with a TPA or RICA renewal code are considered Executive Order (EO) candidates. EO candidates are required to attend an EO meeting and complete a survey outlining the support they are receiving for TPA / RICA.

Executive Order Meetings
If you've participated in and Executive Order Meeting and completed a survey indicating the TPA and RICA support you are receiving you do not need to attend another meeting but are always welcome.


Registration for the Executive Order Meeting occurs through your TIP portal under training.


Please send all TPA and RICA reports to Karla Paul.

They will be added to your TIP file.
Candidates
Mid Year Check

Mid Year Checks are underway. Please be sure you and your mentor sign up for the same meeting. Additional resources are provided through the MCOE eLearn mid-year check.
Please bring your laptop.

Mentors
Thank you for working alongside your candidate in reviewing TIP requirements. Comments that are left on the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) show up in red and may need to be updated. Be sure your candidate resubmits any ILP updates; that will send a message for me to review.
