So, somehow it's almost August. How did that happen?! We have some new, exciting teacher developments to share with you. Since there are quite a few changes (and just because it's fun), we'll do it like a yearbook.

Joyce Headshot Meet the "Fearless Adventurer". Joyce Miraflor is a wonderful, experienced instructor who has been teaching for the past three years at various studios in LA. She trained with our beloved Sam! For four years Joyce lived in the mountains near Big Bear where her only source of water was a nearby mountain spring and she chopped her own wood to heat her cabin. Oh, hello Pioneer Spirit! There wasn't a mountain sport she didn't participate in. Her classes are fantastic and exhilarating. She will start teaching on Tuesday night and Thursday mid-day beginning August 1st...as soon as she gets back from Lake Titcaca on the border of Peru and Bolivia that is.

Sally Headshot Our "Secret Weapon". Many of you now know Sally Fuscoe. Sally has been teaching at the LA studios for 3 years. She is so petite, she is so lovely and she is so encouraging that it will take you by surprise how incredibly HARD, demanding, precise and awesome her classes are. She sneaks up on you in the BEST way. Sally has been dancing since she was a toddler. She competed for years and ran the dance company at her alma mater, USC. She is now an editor on the hit show "Elementary". So, you know, your everyday super achiever. Sally will take over our Saturday morning early classes: 8:30 Level 2 and 9:45 Mixed Level starting on August 3rd. She will also sub for us at other times, as her schedule permits.

Stacey Headshot  All hail the "Comeback Queen". Remember this shining face? Stacey Coplon, formerly Rutter, is well on her way to being reinstated as an instructor with us. Stacey has been teaching for 4 years. She started at the stellar San Diego studio. Stacey has been busy on maternity leave becoming a mama to the most beautiful and delicious baby girl, Hannah. Her little one is rocking at this thing called life and mom wants to come back and work. us. out. We were thrilled when she approached us with this plan. Her classes are incredibly challenging and all together great. She will make jokes throughout class to keep your abs working and your eyes off the clock. Stacey has been teaching community classes here and there, she has been getting private coaching and she will be back at the top of her Bar Method game again in about 2 minutes. Look for Stacey on the schedule very soon.

Mary

"Most Promising Newcomer". Everyone knows our Magic Mary. From the minute we met her, we loved her. She is a dream when she works at our desk, but from the get-go of her teacher training, we started hearing rumors of how she was a natural. We were hearing this from other teachers and owners attending her training! Over the past 4 months, we have seen it for ourselves. She makes us beam with pride. Her co-teaching progress has been a beautiful sight to behold. She is a pro already. Her classes (well, her half classes) have been rigorous and impressive. As an added bonus, her sunny and bright disposition will make you want to work at your edge because you'll feel like YOU CAN DO IT. She is SO CLOSE to being made officially official. Look for Mary's community classes on our online schedule. She will be a full-fledged, big girl teacher, with her very own regular classes any minute now.
