‘DPS In Your Language’ Cards Available for Schools
Dear Educators,
We hope you and your students have had an exciting week to kick off the 2022-23 school year! As we continue to focus on Equity in and outside of the classroom, we are happy to share the new “DPS In Your Language” cards. These cards allow families and community members to request translation and interpretation services in their preferred language by simply showing a card to school staff. The laminated cards fit inside a wallet, with English on one side and one of more than 200 languages on the other. We encourage you to share these cards with your school community. “DPS In Your Language” cards will be delivered to schools by Multilingual Education liaisons and instructional specialists by Sept. 15. To request additional cards or cards in additional languages, please contact Ingrid Porras-Gonzalez.
Thank you for helping us provide welcoming environments for all our families, this year and beyond.
Respectfully,
Dr. Tony Smith
