The Teacher Transfer Period for 2019-20 is extended until April 26.

If you're considering a transfer to another position or school site for the 2019-20 school year, good news. The deadline to apply has been extended to Friday, April 26. Please note, teachers on permit are not eligible to apply at this time. Search new positions and apply here.
Final reminder to submit portfolios by May 1!

The deadline for all portfolio collections to be submitted in the TEAM Portfolio platform is May 1. Teachers must have all student artifacts uploaded and scored before then. This year, there is no 'submit' button to click to finalize your submission.
Once all collections have been uploaded and scored, the submission process is complete. Portfolio models will be locked on May 1 and no longer be open for edits by teachers. Any portfolios not completed by the deadline or not granted an extension will be Incomplete.

The Civil Rights Museum's latest PD series brings local & national history into your classroom!

Check out upcoming PD hosted by the National Civil Rights Museum (NCRM) to learn about incorporating local and national history in your classroom lessons. NCRM has limited spaces available for this training, which is designed to go beyond the traditional narratives of the Civil Rights Movement and provide a dynamic view of why the movement was important for our country and locally. Memphis City Beautiful wants to award schools & students for creativity!

You've heard about the Memphis City Beautiful (MCB) campus beautification contest that has CASH up for grabs for whole schools. Now, its students' turn to compete to earn cash from our friends at MCB! Encourage your 6th-12th-grade students to submit a 2-minute video of their creative poetry about keeping our community clean for a chance to win a grand prize of $500 . Share the contest rules with your students, and remind them to send in videos by May 4 for a chance to win.
