Did you know that census data can help support funding for our schools? Learn how to help get the data that counts!

The U.S. Census Bureau's Statistics in Schools (SIS) Week kicks off on Monday, Mar. 2 , and we're counting (get it!?) on teachers to help support the efforts of the 2020 Census. You might be wondering why census data matters in your classroom. Well, here's why: census results help determine how federal and state funds are allocated for Pre-K programs, school lunches, special education support, classroom grants and more. The more data we can share about head-counts and demographics, the better SCS is positioned to receive adequate funding to support our work. Take a look at the SIS Week toolkit for interactive activity ideas, take-home flyers and more.
