Retiring? It pays to tell us early.
That's right, teachers and principals who are planning to retire this year can get a financial reward just for notifying the District early, as long as certain eligibility requirements are met. Let us know by March 6 to get a $1,500 stipend, or tell us by April 3 to get $1,000.
Click here to download the flyer with more details. You can submit your early retirement notice in the Employee Portal.

Tell your students it's time to "TeamUP 2 GreenUP!"
Project Green Schools educates and equips K-12 students to conduct energy audits of their schools, monitor the indoor air quality and identify areas of energy waste throughout the school. These efforts typically reduce school energy consumption by 10-15 percent. It's a great leadership opportunity for your students and a fun way to make a big difference in the environment! If you're interested in taking part in an upcoming Energy Saving Workshop, contact Tracy Leaks at leaksta@scsk12.org or 416-4118. F

Tell parents about these FREE spring break opportunities for students!
Spring break is right around the corner, and we'd much prefer students keep busy exercising their minds and bodies instead of staying in bed all day. The City of Memphis is stepping in to make sure we don't have to worry. Community centers across the city will be open March 13-17 and offering some pretty fun (and FREE) Spring Break "camps.'
Please share this flyer with your students and families!

Today the Art Club met with artist Carl E. Moore, who will be helping us design a mural to highlight all the awesome things about being a GES Cardinal. He left with student drawings and will come back in a couple weeks to discuss composition, paint supplies, and a timeline for completion. Stay tuned for your chance to participate in painting the mural! #GESheartstheARTS #GESisBEST
